Before we get to the description i wanted to discuss the price we have set on this basket case. The 101 Scout is the pinnacle of most collections. They are very sought after and often fitter turners and engineers buy these basket cases as a way to own one of these very desirable motorcycles. Prices in Australia vary. For a running restored. 600cc 101 you can pay anything from $65,000 to $85,000 AUD ( $40k-$55k usd) so the description
so what we have here a 1928 101 which came to me from a gentleman from perth. i dont know if it was all one bike nor do i know any history on it.

original chassis guards forks spring pack front hub.
back wheel hub is a repro new 4.00x18 wm3 rim all newly laced and painted. original front hub new wm3 4.00x18 rim newly laced and painted. looks like all the front drum bits are there.
handlebar casting repro rear brake lever repro tank
engine flywheel's conrods pistons cylinders and heads look goid fins are good. inc valve and springs all still assembled. inner outer primary
clutch still assembled gearbox tower with dongle and shifter lever. gearbox looks complete still assembled but teeth look worn.
drive pinion 2 cams 2 lifters 4 pushrods
mag drive gears licenseplate bracket ( no taillamp) no kicker no carb no magneto 1 footboard 2 new rubber mats. seat frame u bolt and springs brackets still on frame.
Looks to be about 90% there carb magneto are missing as usual
