The Breed compensator assembly has been developed to work with over-bored, tuned and standard Indian Chief engines. Utilising years of racing experiance and Industrial knowledge of materials,material processes and their effects to change and enhance the properties of engineering materials Breed Flatheads new design makes the most of modern technology materials and manufacturing methods. The new compensator assembly fits to the end of the crank with no modifications. The resulting improvement to the rideability and longevity of this compnsator is evident. Only 1 spring is used which makes for more reliability whilst the change in spring rate gives a smoother uptake of power over the complete spectrum of engine speed. Smoothness of operation obviously enhances life of the driveline through the primary drive, gearbox and final drive to the rear wheel.
As a side note i have one of these fitted to my Chief with an 84 cubic inch engine and i guarantee you will notice a massive improvement to the rideability of your machine.
You will need to buy a Repro Indian primary sprocket from a Blackhawk as well as this kit.
