VALVE COVER SET - CHIEF
Set of four (4) valve covers, enough for one motorcycle, with Double "O" Rings. These valve covers will fit all Indian V Twins from 1938-1953 with threaded push-rod guides. The Chief set is made to collapse approx. 3/16 shorter than most other manufacturer's covers, allowing more room when adjusting valve clearance. The collapsed dimension is 1.84" for Chief and 1.70 for Scout.
They are machined from 303 Stainless Steel solid bar stock and have a very nice satin finish which can easily be polished to a chrome-like luster. The uppers and lowers never stick together like the originals. Each cover features a double "O" Ring seal to keep dirt and water out and oil in. The "O" Rings are made of fluorocarbon (viton) and can withstand a temperature range of -40 to 437 degrees Fahrenheit.
